Om OSMTH
En så stærk og markant historisk funderet Orden som osmth, kan der skrives rigtig meget om. Indgangsvinklerne er mange og som sådan nærmest umuligt alle at afdække fyldestgørende.
Historien, der danner grundlaget for Ordenen i dag, er et kapitel for sig. Den aktive levende del af Ordenen kan bedst opdeles i tre afsnit:
Det nationale broderskab, der fortæller lidt om hvordan Ordenen er positioneret i Danmark og om vort virke.
Det internationale broderskab og den kraftige position Ordenen har fået gennem årtiers virke på den diplomatiske scene.
Og sluttelig et afsnit for "Søgende".
Det at måtte ønske at indtræde i Ordenen, er en stor beslutning og følger en række traditioner. Der er et klart defineret forløb gennem hvilket begge parter (Ordenen såvel som den søgende) skal gøre sig nogle alvorlige overvejelser. Forløbet er kort skitseret her på hjemmesiden og yderligere information gives under personlige møder.
Ordenens formålsparagraf er enslydende for såvel den internationale som de nationale afdelinger:

The osmth Priory of the Kingdom of Denmark has the same purpose:
OSMTH is an international ecumenical, non-political, non profit organization with “NGO in Special consultative Status with the United Nations,” with humanitarian assistance as it’s founding idea.
- To promote and provide an opportunity for the practice of ecumenical Christian charitable and chivalrous behaviour
- To uphold civic virtues and to pursue excellence in the workplace and in daily life to the greater glory of God
- To protect human rights and to promote international peace and justice
- To increase our understanding, as Christians, of other faiths
- To support a Christian presence in the Holy Land
- To assist persons undertaking pilgrimages, both spiritual and physical
- To relieve human suffering by the support of the poor, the sick and all in need
- To assist in the preservation of monuments and sites associated with the medieval Order of Knights Templar
- To maintain archives and foster research into the history of the Knights Templar
- To encourage and promote Christian humanitarian work and charity generally, but especially in support of people in the Middle East.
- To support, strengthen, extend and ratify the Laws of human rights, and to seek implementation hereof in all Governmental institutions
- To encourage all that makes for the spiritual and moral strengthening of mankind in accordance with the first great principle of the Order embodied in the motto: "Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, Sed Nomine tuo da Gloriam."
